SB Raatin edustusjoukkue valmiina tulevaan kauteen

SB Raatti solmi perjantaina 14.8. kaksi uutta pelaajasopimusta, kun veljekset Miikka Hanski ja Jaakko Hanski Nilsiästä hankkivat ansaitusti paikkansa try-outin jälkeisellä testijaksolla. Veljeksien kehitys sählyvuoroista on ollut huimaa ja valmennus uskoo, että kehitys jatkuu vastaavanlaisena jatkossakin.

Lisäksi SB Raatilla on kaksi todella tärkeää pelaajasopimusta vielä neuvottelun alla, joista tiedotetaan mahdollisimman pian.

SB Raatin edustusjoukkue on nyt kasassa ja valmiina tulevan kauden haasteisiin. Varsinkin valmennuksella on suuret odotukset tulevan kauden otteluita silmällä pitäen, mutta ennen kaikkea valmennus haluaa testata joukkueensa valmiuden ja pelaajien henkilökohtaisen taitotason Suomen Cupissa, jossa vastassa on kovan tason ammattilaisia. Mielenkiintoinen Suomen Cupin ensimmäinen kierros tuo SB Raatille kokemusta roppa kaupalla, kun vastassa ovat 2. divisioonan SB Savo ja FBI sekä 3. divisioonassa pelaava KSS 2.

Kauden osalta seuran minimitavoite on olla kolmen parhaan joukossa, mutta sarjanousua 3. divisioonaan lähdetään hakemaan. Kauden mielenkiintoisimmat vastustajat ovat varmasti ex-liigapelaajaporukka Cremasters Joensuusta sekä viime kauden kovat sarjakärjet FB JoPa ja HuPS. Joka tapauksessa on odotettavissa todella tasainen sarja ja jokaisen pisteen eteen on tehtävä töitä. Valmennus kuitenkin uskoo, että SB Raatti tulee tulevana kautena kääntämään viime kauden 5 maalin tappiota voitoiksi ja tulee näin taistelemaan sarjanoususta.

Maalivahti Markus Ahon viime kautta sotki pahasti armeija, joten Aho parantaa varmasti otteitaan tulevalla kaudella. Puolustuspäässä Markku Turusella on paljon annettavaa joukkueelle ja itselleen, sillä Turusen kahta viime kautta on myös sotkenut asepalvelus. Viime kauden parhaaksi puolustajaksi valittu Henry Viitala tulee olemaan tärkeässä roolissa seuran menestyksen eteen, kuten myös totutulla varmuudella ja uhrautuvuudella töitä tekevä Jani Riekkinen. Hyökkäyspäässä tulevalla kaudella tulee viime kaudesta parantamaan ainakin Kimmo Korkalainen, jonka viime kautta sotki pahasti armeija. Samoin suoraviivaisina pelaajina tunnetuilta Hanskeilta odotetaan tehoja maalien valossa. Tasaisen varmalla tahdilla tehoja tehneet Pekka Aho ja Vesa Jääskeläinen tulevat ratkaisemaan monta ottelua. Myös tasaisen tappavasti kehittynyt jäähykuninkaamme Mikko Turunen antaa varmasti kaikkensa tulevalla kaudella hyökkäyspäässä ja kääntää monta tiukkaa kamppailua voitoiksi. Viime kaudella hieman alisuoriutunut Arto Taskinen tulee vastaamaan seuran antamaan haasteeseen ja haastamaan näin Joni Toivasen maalipörssin voitosta. Joni Toivanen on tähän asti ratkaissut seuralle noin joka toisen ottelun ja tekee sen varmasti ensi kaudellakin. Joka tapauksessa seurassa on tapahtunut viimeisen neljän vuoden aikana todella paljon kehittymistä ja jokainen pelaaja on parantanut otteitaan vuosi vuodelta. Tämän perusteella on odotettavissa todella mielenkiintoinen ja maalirikas kausi 2009-2010.
